Despite the enactment of laws related to the protection of activists and human rights advocates by many countries, we still notice records of many negative indicators of the commission of flagrant violations of these rights on a large scale, which would limit the work and role of activists and human rights advocates in monitoring and following up on these violations and publishing them openly.
Therefore, NIHR, being one of the human rights advocates, calls on the Iraqi government not to deal with countries with similar negative activities as a way to exert pressure on them to change their policies and respect those rights.
