Continuous visits and surveys carried out by a team of our organization NIHR to the implementation sites of model school construction projects in multiple regions of Iraq and assigned to be implemented by Asian investment companies, where several violations were monitored, including the employment of children under the age of 18 years among their workers in those projects, in explicit violation of the instructions of the Iraqi Labor Law, which prohibits the employment of children under the legal age in any hard work in order to preserve their safety, so our organization emphasizes the related regulatory authorities to prevent those violations, which are considered a flagrant violation of children’s rights in Iraq, committed by these companies.
