NIHR condemns the killing of aid worker in Iraq, the American citizen Stephen
\nWard Troel, in Baghdad \/ Karrada district on November 7, 2022.
\nWe consider this terrorist act against humanity that takes away the right of life for
\na person who was seeking to achieve positive change among members of society
\nby providing humanitarian services within the international organizations
\noperating in the region. In addition to his tweets that express love and affection
\nfor the Iraqi people, which were published on social networking sites as well as in
\nthe various media in Iraq after his death.
\nAs an organization that defends human rights, we demand the competent
\nauthorities to reveal the perpetrators and bring them to justice so that these
\ncases will not be repeated.
\nLet everyone know that the members of society in Iraq want to live in a safe
\nenvironment free from tensions and dangers to human life.On this painful occasion, we offer our sincere condolences to the victim's family
