       To create awareness and consolidate dialogue among civilizations, and multilingualism as a basis for harmonious communication between peoples, which promotes unity in diversity, international understanding, tolerance and dialogue, UNESCO declared July 7 of each year as the International Day of the Kiswahili Language, which is the first African language recognized by the United Nations in this way, and it is one of the ten most widely spoken languages in the world with more than 200 million speakers in many countries of East and Central Africa and the Middle East.<\/p>\n
