     Iranian authorities are tightening their penalties against women and girls who demand their human rights to freedom of expression of religion and belief and physical independence, after the Iranian parliament passed a new bill that includes more severe penalties against women’s rights, as well as increased prison sentences and fines for defying Iran’s compulsory hijab law, and this is part of the authorities’ efforts to crush the spirit of resistance against those who dared to stand against decades of repression and inequality as part of the popular uprising for women’s freedom of life in Iran.<\/p>\n
