The National Institute for Human Rights organized a coordination session with representatives from secondary schools in Al-Hawija as part of the strategy “Empowering Youth for Resilience: A Trauma-Informed Pathway to Community Security” with the support of IOM. The session focused on developing plans to implement project activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of mental health and community stability in countering violent extremism. Discussions also covered initiatives designed to engage youth in various community activities. Emphasis was placed on increasing young people’s awareness of their active role in building and developing communities, contributing to improving services, and fostering social cohesion. This session is part of the Institute\u2019s ongoing efforts to support and empower youth in addressing the challenges they face, enhancing their ability to combat violent extremism through promoting a culture of peaceful coexistence and active citizenship.<\/p>\n
