NIHR, which implements the project (Adolescents and Young People Renounce Violent Extremism in Hawija and Daquq Districts), held a training workshop in Daquq district, in which it involved adolescent girls and women to develop their cognitive capacities on citizenship, strengthen their sense of belonging, empower them to actively participate in the development of their communities and gain support and backing from decision-makers and community members in their areas.
