This is what Amnesty International’s Deputy Regional Director for the Middle East has stated after the loss of life and destruction in Derna and Libya has become an unimaginable tragedy, where thousands of IDPs still, entire neighborhoods and families washed away, and Libyan forces responding to the crisis with their usual methods of suppressing and arresting critics for publicly accusing officials of corruption and responsibility for the disaster.
