On August 3, 2014, the Yazidis were subjected to the most horrific attack in the modern
history, as ISIS committed the most severe violations of human rights before the eyes of the
world, and their suffering continues to this day, as thousands of children, women, and men
were lost without a trace.
The international community must take serious measures to prevent the recurrence of such
violations, hold the perpetrators accountable, not allow them to escape punishment, and
seek to create a safe environment for the return of the displaced to their homes
