Disputes between Iraqi politicians impede the implementation of an Iraqi agreement with the French company (Total Energy) on investment projects for oil, gas and renewable energy over a period of 25 years in Iraq, which negatively affects the efforts of the Iraqi government to urge investment companies not to stop their work and leave Iraqi lands, noting that the work of these companies have contributed to increasing the production capacity of Iraqi oil products during the past few years.

Foreign investments in all sectors contribute to the economic growth of the country, which casts a shadow on improving the living conditions of members of society, in addition to acquiring the skills and experience of Iraqi labor.
Therefore, NIHR calls on decision makers in relevant government institutions to facilitate investment procedures, overcome obstacles facing investment companies, and ensure their security, in order to motivate and attract more companies to work in Iraq.
