The National Institute for Human Rights participated in a dialogue session organized by Ufuq Organization under the title “Supporting Civil Space in Iraq.” on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Mansour Melia Hotel in Baghdad.
The session featured in-depth discussions (moderated by Dr. Ali Omar and Dr. Ali Bakhit) that addressed the administrative and financial challenges facing civil society institutions and ways to strengthen partnerships between civil society organizations and government agencies. It also included practical proposals to improve public policies and overcome obstacles to the work of organizations.
During our participation, we emphasized the importance of developing institutional cooperation mechanisms to contribute to strengthening the role of civil society as an effective partner in supporting the rule of law and building good governance.
